The one and only "Old Blood and Guts, U.S. Army General George S. Patton. He was a graduate of West Point who served in both World Wars and the Pancho Villa Expedition. Not a lot of people know that he was a participant in the 1912 Olympics, particularly in the Modern Pentathlon.
He was instrumental in the development of the armored vehicles. He rose through the Army ranks and was already a General when World War II started. He had a colorful and temperamental personality that created friction with his fellow officers as well as enlisted men. Unfortunately, he died in 1945 due injuries he sustained in a car crash.
Hollywood actor, George C. Scott portrayed General Patton in the award winning film, Patton. I recommend that you watch this to better understand a character such as General George S. Patton.
