They were the rising stars of the 1980s and 30 years later some of them are still shining. You won't believe that these celebrities are in their 50s.

Here's a look at those who graced our screens in these iconic 1980s movies like "Ferris Bueller's Day off", "St. Elmo's Fire", "Back to the Future", "The Breakfast Club, "Some Kind of Wonderful", "Pretty in Pink", "Top Gun", "Karate Kid", "Endless Love", "Footloose" and "Flashdance"



Brooke Shields was born on May 31, 1965,  she was one of the biggest celebrities of the 80s. Starring in Endless Love and Baby Love.






















Andrew McCarthy who starred in St. Elmo's Fire and Mannequin was born on November 29, 1962.
Before he became Dr. Mark Greene, Anthony Edwards starred as LT JG Nick " Goose" Bradshaw with Tom Cruise in Top Gun. He was born on July 19, 1962.



Through the years, Elisabeth Shue has been reinventing herself whether she played Michael J. Fox's girlfriend in the Back to the Future movies or Ralph Macchio's love interest in Karate Kid, or as a symphatetic prostitute opposite Nicholas Cage in the highly-acclaimed movie, Leaving Las Vegas. She is now starring as Julie Finlay in the long-running TV series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Elisabeth will be turning 52 on October 6. 
He was Rocky Dennis in Mask as well as Keith Nelson in Some Kind of Wonderful. Eric Stoltz was born on September 30, 1961.

For the children of the 80's, Ferris Bueller was the role model on how to ditch school without being caught. Matthew Broderick has parlayed his success in Hollywood with Broadway accolades. Who would beleive that Ferris Bueller will turn 53 on March 21!
