Cebu Foodie: How To Make Tuna Mushroom Bruschetta

Here's my recipe for Tuna Mushroom Bruschetta

  • Tuna (it can be canned, frozen or fresh)
  • bread (baguette, ciabatta or any bread that can withstand some grilling)
  • olive oil
  • mushroom (depends on your preference)
  • tomatoes
  • butter
  • 1-2 different kinds of cheeses (depends on your preference)


  • dice the tomatoes (I normally remove the seeds)
  • grate the cheeses
  • slice the mushroom into bite-size pieces
  • slice the bread lengthwise
  • shred the tuna
  • On a pan, slightly cook the tuna and mushroom 
  • brush some butter on the bread and grill on both sides for a few minutes
  • top the bread with the prepared tuna, mushroom, tomatoes and cheeses. Sprinkle with olive oil and place them in the oven for a few minutes or until the cheese begin to melt.
  • Serve while hot
