My Summer Activity 2014: Buko (Coconut Water) Shakes

The summer months in the Philippines is hot, hot, hot! The humidity and the temperature makes one very thirsty. So, one of the things that you can do is to make a thirst quencher and an example of that is buko shake or coconut water shake.
You just need crushed ice, coconut water (fresh coconuts are better), condensed milk or sugar and a blender.

Since at our home, we're using mason pint-size jars as our drinking glasses, you can use that as measurement for your shake. 1 pint of crushed ice, 1 pint coconut water, 1-2 tablespoons of condensed milk or sugar (if you want a sweeter drink, just add according to your taste). Blend them all together. This is good for one serving. Just adjust the measurements according to the number of people or to your taste.

Enjoy and hope it helps you beat the heat this summer!
