Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 7 Characters from The Red Wedding

Episode 7 of Game of Thrones Season 7 will be shown in a few hours and there are a lot of speculation and anticipation of past characters coming back.

Three of these characters were last seen during The Red Wedding scene of Season 3. The "Rains of Castamere" episode was the turning point of the season. It was a bloodbath wherein Catelyn, her son Robb, and daughter-in-law Talisa was murdered by the combined forces of the Freys, Lannisters, and Roose Bolton.

They were prepped to be slaughtered by the Freys who took offense when Robb Stark reneged on marrying Walder Frey's daughter. Walder had to settle with Catelyn's younger brother, Edmure Tully, new Lord of Riverrun, for the marriage alliance. They were also betrayed by Stark Bannerman, Roose Bolton.

Edmure was last seen being carried by a group of revelers in order to be prepared for his Wedding night with Roslyn Frey. Apparently, the intent was to keep him prisoner and for the Freys to capture Riverrun which they did. In episode 6 of this season, Edmure Tully was shown as being a prisoner of the Freys.

Catelyn's strongwilled Uncle Brynden "Blackfish" Tully barely escaped the Red Wedding massacre. There have been hints of him playing a major role as Sansa and Jon Snow prepare to battle Ramsay Bolton. In last week's episode, Walder Frey's sons had to tell their father that Blackfish defeated them and took control of Riverrun. Lord Petyr Baelish hinted to Sansa that she should go and seek help from her kinsman, Brynden Tully.

Brynden "Blackfish" Tully is played by British actor, Clive Russell. David Bradley who portrays Walder Fry is familiar to Harry Potter fans since he was Argus Filch for all the 8 movies. Finally, straight from the success of the Outlander series, Tobias Menzies returns to the Game of Thrones series as Edmure Tully.

The Tullys and Starks are coming back with a vengeance!

There are 3 more episodes left in this season and it's becoming exciting as ever. Don't forget to tune in to HBO to see the latest episode.
