Recently, Cebu's metropolitan cities have seen an influx of newly opened homegrown restaurants. And they can usually be found in places outside of malls. In Lahug, Cebu City, The Esplanade, situated on Salinas Drive (right in front of Cebu IT Park), is a galleria featuring restaurants and other lifestyle stores.
One of the restaurants located in The Esplanade is Olive & Figs, the newest steak and grill restaurant in Cebu. Last weekend, we were invited to try out some of their signature dishes. I first thought that with the name Olive & Figs, the restaurant would be Greek-inspired, but it's actually more of a fusion food-inspired place.
Here are some of the things that I like about Olive & Figs: price-friendly menu, quality dishes, and shareable portion sizes.
For two people, I will recommend a 1,500-2,000PHP budget that will include an appetizer and a main dish for each one. When you dine in the restaurant, you will enjoy your food. They're flavorful and fulfilling. Olive & Figs also serves cocktails, which you can pair with your food order.
I have some favorites from the selection that they had us try out. I would definitely order again the Tomahawk Pork Chop. the Sweet Soy Fried Chicken and Sweet and Spicy Korean Fried Chicken are definitely finger-licking food. The Steak Bites come in second when it comes to entrees. For the appetizer, I'm torn between the Crispy Fried Chicken Quinoa Salad and the Nacho Libre.
